The process of site selection and design were carefully considered to ensure that the planned building shall be accessible by local inhabitants and will also become a tourism landmark. The building functions as an information centre and a meeting place for people where different social events and activities are organised.

The main design concept of this community house in inspired form the head scarf of the local ethnic minorities and the typical form of a traditional house. This built form harmonises with the mountainous landscape and a picturesque waterfall. The house appears to be both strange and familiar, which is the result of a long-time study on vernacular architecture and local wisdom, based on local resources: economy, culture and local workforce.
