With the desire to maintain local values ​​and provide a convenient and comfortable space, Truong An Resettlement Area has won the Second prize in the student category of the SPEC GO GREEN INTERNATIONAL AWARDS 2018 Green Architecture Award.

The current creation of new accommodation is facing a lot of difficulties in infrastructure as well as the quality of space, causing hesistancy for people to choose and consider new houses because most of the resettlement areas are often overlooked. Therefore, the project “Truong An Resettlement Housing” will help improve these weaknesses, contribute to creating a quality living space.

With the increasing speed of urbanization putting pressure on the population density for the city, the trend of apartment buildings will be an effective way to optimize land use area. At the same time, it plays an important role in attracting more people to the suburbs to reduce urban pressure in the central area.

Truong An Resettlement Area – A quality living space

Truong An Resettlement Area is a complex of 10 apartments with different sizes, the sizes range from 50 m² – 200 m² depending on the supply and demand of the housing market to increase compatibility but the structure of the building remains unchanged. The living area is calibrated in the form of a moduler to be easily combined or separated as needed. Therefore it will help guarantee access for residents, indirectly reduce the pressure on social housing in general.

In order to create a green and sustainable living environment, the project has proposed the building structure based on the database of natural characteristics as well as the construction site, inheriting traditional architectural solutions and using simple local contours to evoke featured images.

The needs of each household are constantly changing, so the living area needs to be calibrated in the form of a moduler to be easily combined or separated as needed. Therefore it will help guarantee access for residents, indirectly reduce the pressure on social housing in general.
