Jackfruit Village – Energy boosting homestay

The judges of the SPEC GO GREEN INTERNATIONAL AWARD 2018 Green Architecture Award highly appreciated the use of environmentally friendly local materials (unbaked clay bricks, palm leaf roofs – which are local materials). All designs follow the theme of jackfruit and grapefruit roots, optimizing of the shade for living and respecting the local traditions, as well as help minimize thermal radiation. Besides, the sewage treatment system is located at the end of the wind direction, and all households have 5 ecological septic tanks

Based on the terrain, the building’s floor is raised to avoid pests such as termites, which help reduce humidity as well as allow natural surface drainage. Living space is arranged according to the landscape and vegetation, associated with nature

Especially, Tomodachi Jackfruit Village also has its own gardening area, now has cage fish farming along with a breeding farm, providing an abundant supply of clean organic food for workers and users “from farm to table” within the village, forming a closed ecosystem that can self-supply, regenerate and maintain for a long time.

It can be said that Tomodachi Jack Village is a typical “Green Building” with extremely modern thinking while retaining the inherent traditional features. Respecting nature, culture and people is what makes of Tomodachi Jack Village succeed.
